Join an adventurous tour by off-road vehicle at Ripalte, on the rolling hills of Calamita, in the southeastern part of Elba Island.
Enter a private property: Tenuta delle Ripalte, extending over 400 hectares of Mediterranean scrub and comprising 16 hectares of vineyards.
Let our guide take you on a tour of the property, discovering its ancient stories and mysterious legends about the glorious past of the Ripalte. You will see old war relics (bunkers and magazines) and uncharted paths.
Finally, enter the Ginevro Mine, past the boundaries of our property: an old magnetite mine, the largest in Europe!
Put on your hard hat and hiking shoes and, with the support of your certified guide, explore the underground tunnel network, in the only mine on Elba that reaches a depth of 90 meters below sea level!
After the tour, we will reach the nearby Cantina di Design, the Winery of Ripalte, the building that immediately stands out along the road down to the mines, included in the elite of the 14 "Toscana Wine Architecture."
On the terrace with a breathtaking view, the Enotourism Aperitif will take place: a toast with three wines from Ripalte, paired with traditional specialties and a reserved seat on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea and vineyards.
The wines will be paired with local products from the Island of Elba and Tuscany: local cheeses with different ripening and processing, cold cuts from animals bred in the wild, traditional recipes, and extra virgin olive oil from the Island of Elba. All food products are carefully selected from small local producers, artisans of taste, and are showcased during the aperitif.
