The building that is home to the Winery of Tenuta delle Ripalte is a modern temple of wine, which blends perfectly into the unique and wild natural setting of Elba Island.
The architectural design was created by famous Italian architect Tobia Scarpa, who designed the entire building to make it suitable to produce the wine of his friend Piermario Meletti Cavallari.

The winery is on two levels, each dedicated to a stage of production. The roof features a large terrace with breathtaking views of the sea and the vineyards, and was originally designed as an ideal place for drying grapes.

The notoriety of the architect has allowed the Tenuta delle Ripalte Winery to be included in the elite of Toscana Wine Architecture: the network of design wineries by contemporary architectural artists such as Tobia Scarpa, Renzo Piano, and Mario Botta.
